The Complete Collection of
2023-2024
Inkjet Print Projects
____________________________________________________________________
The 2023-24 Inkjet Print Projects began with the 12x12" Books (each book consists
of a rather arbitrary non-thematic collection of my favorite images which had
not before been printed; later came the 12x12" thematic PROJECTS.
Separately,
I also have a been making much LARGER prints of select images and I have
given that collection of prints a separate blog page which you will find
further below, following the PROJECTS & Books.

PROJECTS
_________________Thematic collections of images___________________
The 12x12" Inkjet Print PROJECTS listed below deals with particular themes; the BOOKS (listed further below) are collections of favorite images chosen in a relatively random way.
All of the PROJECT images exist as 12x12" inkjet prints. Each project's introductory text discusses the thematic issues announced in the title. In many of the PROJECTS, all (or many) of the images you will see within them were drawn from the over 800 12x12" inkjet print images published in the Book collections.
Every image you will see in these blog BOOK collections, exist as high quality, archival inkjet prints 12x12" in size (this dimension includes the surrounding tonal mattes). An additional one inch of white paper surrounds the four sides of the 12x12" printed image.
Please Note: most (but not all) of the 12x12" images in the BOOK and PROJECT collections
can be printed larger than 12x12" ranging from 15x15" to, in some cases, 18x18" and larger.
Nearly all of the 12x12" symmetrical images can be printed up to 21x21" and many of
the longer formatted symmetrical images can be printed 21" high & up to 26" wide.
First Edition: Images made between April 2024 through July 2024
12x12" PROJECT : Infinity ~ Symmetrical Photographs : Infinite patters of Space & Light. October ??, 2024 (forthcoming)

The 12x12" inkjet print
BOOKS
_____________Non-thematic collections of images_______________
The eleven 12x12" Inkjet Print BOOKS listed below are digital (blog) collections of the 12x12" inkjet print images that were originally published in my thematic blog projects. I have chosen images that work well in the 12x12" format. (Some images work better in their original longer 4:3 format and thus were not included in the 12x12" Books.)
I stopped making silver gelatin negatives and prints after 2003. I have scanned both prints and negatives from earlier projects for purposes of publishing the photographs in my blog projects which I began making in late 2010.
Though the BOOKS do not deal with particular themes, within each collection there may be clusters of images that relate to each other in various ways in terms of subject matter, formal issues, conceptual themes, etc. Many of the 12x12" inkjet print images may differ in format, from the earlier versions published in my blog projects.
The idea to make 12x12" (square) inject prints from favorite images in my blog was in part inspired by the early Studies I photography project of 1994-2000, in which I made miniature, square 3.5"x3.5" silver gelatin prints of images I found hidden in my archive of early made black and white negatives. I have written in detail about my inject print project in my Introduction for Book One.
The "12x12 inkjet print" images are surrounded by a tonal matte, in many cases 2" on all four sides of an 8x8" square image, and in other cases the matte may be as small as 1/2 inch on all four sides surrounding an 11x11" square image. I consider the matte an important, integral part of the 12x12" image, and I have written about the mattes in several BOOK introductions, including the Introduction to my first Book of 12x12" inkjet photographs, and the Introduction to my project: The Pandemic Inkjet Prints.
At the time of publishing the ELEVENTH BOOK there were over 800 inkjet prints (12x12") in total. To see my collection of much larger newly printed inkjet prints, please click on the link title provided after the listing of the eleven Books.
Please Note: most (but not all) of the 12x12" images in the BOOK and PROJECT collections
can be printed larger than 12x12" ranging from 15x15" to, in some cases, 18x18" and larger.
Nearly all of the 12x12" symmetrical images can be printed to 21x21" and many of the
longer formatted symmetrical images can be printed 21" high & up to 26" wide.

_____________________________________________________________________________________
I love the 12x12" square format print size for the way it insists on a viewer's closer, more intimate and concentrated engagement with the image. But of course some photographs for various reasons work better at larger sizes. I invite you to visit the following link which includes several projects and collections of larger sized inkjet prints, and in many cases, the larger prints may be in their original rectangular format inkjet prints, other may be in a revised square format.
The LARGE inkjet print project began in mid-February 2023, following my purchase of a new Epson P6000 printer in January, 2023, then five eye surgeries that followed which delayed the project until mid-February. After bogging for over 12 years without printing most of the blog images, I decided it was time to created an inkjet print archive of my favorite images to compliment the blog-online archive of projects and images.
The image sizes vary. I have divided the collection of prints into Parts according to sizes and formats. Under each published image there is an ID image number, descriptive title and print size (which includes surrounding tonal mattes). Each print is also surrounded by a paper base border (varying in size, but at least 1" on all sides)
Here, below in blue, is the hyperlinked Title to all of the LARGER inkjet print collections and projects made over the past two years (2023-2024):
