12x12" Studies
Introduction
This is the sixth collection of 12x12" inkjet prints I have made for the ongoing series of 12x12" Books and Projects. Each of the 12x12" prints constitutes my effort to create an Inkjet Print Archive of some of my favorite photographs dating back to 2011 when I initiated my photography blog TheDepartingLandscape.blogspot.com
After I began publishing my new work as blog projects I decided to discontinue my old practice of making inkjet prints of all the images I liked in a project. This saved me time so I could complete projects faster, and at practically no cost; and if later I wanted to make prints, I had the larger digital files archived and could do that.
Since February 2023 I have made well over five hundred inkjet prints in an attempt to create a an Inkjet Print Archive of some of my favorite images as a physical compliment to the online (blog) archive of the project images I had been building since I retired from teaching in Milwaukee (in 2007) and shortly thereafter moved with my wife to Canandaigua, NY. and initiated my blog. As the print archive expanded I also broadened my idea of what could be included in the 12x12" collections. Now the 12x12" project includes images from projects I had made prior to coming to Canandaigua.
