18x18" Inkjet Print Project
Portraits, Faces, Figures,
Animals, Birds, Insects
I have photographed people off-and-on since I was ten years old.
I was growing up during the "Street Photography 1960's & 70's
and I have included photographs of people in many of my
conceptual projects over the years.
Visit my blog link which collects the full range of projects
in which I include photographs of people and check out
the Introductory text.

Portraits

Gloria with a serious concussion, August 1969, shortly after she suffered a car accident
My portraits are seldom literal records of appearance. They
instead are charged often with emotion or
perhaps a living Presence.

As I written elsewhere, many images can fit into more than one
thematic category, suggesting the a layering of meaning or
a potential for many kinds of meaning depending on
the viewer's capacity, etc.

I have never felt more disappointed in human beings. 2025 has been
the most difficult year of my life thanks to politics in America,
Climate Change, and all kinds of physical problems that
have sprung up and worsening since January, 2023.
I am writing this in mid-August;
in three weeks I will turn 80 years old.
I am so grateful for Gurumayi &
Siddha Yoga, my wife Gloria, our
children and grandchildren and
photography.
