Morandi-Inspired Photographs
Selected from projects dated August 2014 to the July, 2021
Introduction
After the completion of the multi-chaptered Morandi-inspired project Still Life, published between July 2013 thru July 2014, Morandi's influence continued to appear in many of the photographs I made in the projects that followed. This blog page was created as a compliment to the project I completed in July, 2021, The Light of Memory. I have included those images which seem pervaded by Morandi's presence, and/or which embody certain of his stylistic characteristics which have continued to live within my creative process.
The collection includes images selected from my most projects from within the Series inspired by the Coronavirus Pandemic. The project STAY HOME, published in May, 2020 was the first in the series, and Elegy published in April, 2021 concludes the series..
I begin with an image selected from the project entitled The Space Between, published in August, 2015, immediately after the completion of Still life. The project titles are hyperlinked. Please click on the title if you'd like to visit the entire project.

There is an invisible sun
hidden inside us all.
The day will come when the veil falls away
and that sun is revealed and shines,
and in its resplendent light
all virtues and corruption vanish.
If Simurgh unveils its face to you, you will find
that all the birds, be they thirty or forty or more,
are but the shadows cast by that unveiling.
So get over surfaces and delve into mysteries.
